<p><strong><a href="https://plowunited.net/"><em>plowunited.net</em></a></strong> – Secondary school pupils in Lancashire will soon gain hands-on experience with artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality, and cybersecurity through an innovative digital skills program. The Lancashire MEGA Hubs initiative. Launched by the county council, aims to enhance career opportunities and equip students with future-ready tech skills.</p>



<p>The program will provide coding, cyber security, and machine learning workshops across all secondary schools in the county. Pupils will also have access to extra-curricular digital learning days and an out-of-school Cyber and Esports Academy. This initiative helps employers meet the rising demand for digital, cyber, and technology expertise.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">STEM Education and Investment in Digital Skills Learning</h2>



<p>The Lancashire Economic Growth &amp; Development Investment Fund (LEGDIF) has allocated £550,000 to integrate digital skills into traditional STEM subjects. This funding ensures that students not only explore future technologies but also apply digital knowledge. Especially in core subjects like science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM).</p>



<p>Council leader Phillippa Williamson expressed enthusiasm for the initiative. Stating that it &#8220;aligns perfectly&#8221; with the county’s long-term goals of developing a highly skilled digital workforce.</p>



<p>The MEGA Hubs program will be available to all Lancashire secondary schools until the end of the 2026 academic year. Giving thousands of students the opportunity to develop essential digital skills that will prepare them for careers in the tech-driven job market.</p>

Traditional meals of millet and beans now cost over 7,000 francs (£8.90), more than four times their previous price. With farmers unable to work and herders displaced, families struggle to afford basic needs, leaving many students hungry and unable to pay school fees.&#8221;</p>
