Availability, Settings, and Limitations of the Blur Feature
Users must sign into a Google account to use the nudity blur feature. The app disables this feature by default for adults, but they can enable it manually in the settings. For children’s accounts, Google automatically activates the blur to provide protection. Teens aged 13 to 17 with unsupervised accounts can disable the feature if they choose.
Users can find the settings under Google Messages by opening the app, going to Settings, selecting Protection and Safety, and then tapping Manage Sensitive Content Warnings. Here, they will see a toggle for “Warnings in Google Messages” that allows them to switch the blur feature on or off.
